Flavor Forward 2026

From the floor of Natural Products Expo West 2026: the trends reshaping the American plate — and how Harris Spice is already building them.

$342B The natural and organic industry reached $342.1 billion in sales in 2025, with 3,000+ brands at Expo West 2026 representing 130 countries — the most consequential flavor intelligence event of the year. Harris Spice was there.

Spice season is here, and we spent the past week talking with product developers at two of the biggest events in our industry: SCIFTS and Expo West.

SCIFTS is always one of the most productive shows for us because it brings together the R&D and procurement teams responsible for developing new food products. We spent the evening walking through spice sourcing, flavor trends, and packaging options with companies actively building next year’s launches.

From there we headed to Expo West in Anaheim. The show floor was packed with emerging brands, and the conversations quickly turned to globally inspired seasoning profiles and supply chains that can scale.

Those discussions are exactly why we’ve spent the past year developing new seasoning concepts designed for brands that want bold flavors with dependable sourcing.
